A focused brand identity build and outreach material set for the joint apprenticeship training committee serving New Mexico and West Texas.

Brand Strategy
Brand Identity
SMART Local Union 49's Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee oversees the training and certification of sheet metal and HVAC workers across New Mexico and West Texas. The program needed a professional brand identity and the core outreach materials to put it to work in the communities it recruits from.
Second Story Marketing Group coordinated the engagement, handled copy, and managed the client relationship. Fairbuilt led the design across identity and materials.
Fairbuilt developed a brand identity for the LU 49 JATC that gave the program a consistent, professional visual language to use across recruitment and communications. The identity was built to work alongside the related LU 49 union brand while standing on its own as the training program's specific identity.
The outreach materials were designed for the recruitment contexts where the program shows up most frequently. Career fair table setups and banners. A double-sided program overview flier. Regional inserts developed separately for the New Mexico and West Texas markets, which have meaningfully different communities and industries. Social media templates for consistent ongoing digital presence.

The program came away with a functional brand identity and a ready-to-deploy set of recruitment materials. The regional specificity built into the inserts gave the JATC more relevant outreach tools for each of the distinct communities it serves across the two-state region.
