AEC Web Design

We design and build websites exclusively for architects, engineers, and contractors.

( What is AEC Web Design )

An AEC website isn't a restaurant website. AEC firms need sites that communicate technical credibility, present project work with real context instead of a photo grid, and speak to the specific concerns of developers, municipal clients, or institutional owners depending on who the firm is targeting. That's what AEC web design means: a strategic digital presence built around how these firms actually win work.

( Why Most AEC Websites Underperform )

The patterns we see most in audits before a redesign are: no clear positioning, so a visitor can't tell what kind of firm this is. Weak project presentation, a photo grid with no narrative or context. Not findable in search. Impossible for the internal team to keep current. No clear path from attention to inquiry.

AEC web design done well fixes the root of these, not just by making the site look newer, but by rebuilding it around what it needs to accomplish.

( What We Build )
Strategic Foundation

Positioning and audience defined before design starts.

Architecture & Wireframes

Site structure, navigation, and conversion paths mapped before design begins.

Concept Design

You see and approve the look and feel before development starts.

Website Development

Built on whichever CMS fits the projects goals.

Copywriting and SEO

Words that position the firm correctly and give the site the keyword structure to be found.

Launch and Maintenance

Technical launch, team training, and ongoing care plans.

( Who We Serve )

Architecture firms, engineering firms, construction companies, and real estate developers nationally. We work best with growing firms serious about their next phase, navigating a leadership transition, entering a new market, or that have a gap between the quality of the work and the quality of the website representing it.

( Why Fairbuilt )

Brad practiced architecture for years before building an AEC website design company. That shapes every question we ask in discovery and every content decision we make in design.

( FAQ )
Does the website include SEO?

Yes. Every site is structured for search visibility from day one: heading architecture, keyword-aware copy, fast load times, technical fundamentals. We also structure content to help AI search tools like Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot, and ChatGPT surface your firm accurately.

Should we do brand strategy before the website?

If your positioning is already clear, you can move directly into the website. If there's uncertainty about who you're for or how to communicate it, strategy should come first. A site built on unclear positioning needs to be rebuilt sooner than you'd expect.

How long does a redesign take?

Eight to fourteen weeks from kickoff to launch, depending on size, complexity, and whether copywriting is included.
