Your Brand Should Grow With You
Branding isn’t a one-time thing—it’s something that evolves.
One of my early branding projects was for my friend Andrew, a residential architect in Eugene, Oregon who wanted to reposition his architecture firm to attract more custom home design clients.
We developed a bold, clean identity—something that felt modern but grounded. The kind of design system that doesn’t just look good today, but has room to grow with the business.
Fast forward a few years: I was updating my branding proposal template and decided to revisit the project. What I realized? I hadn’t created many mockups at the time. So I went back and built some out—showing how the identity works beyond the screen, in real-life applications. How all the brand touchpoints actually work together.
This process reminded me that branding isn’t “set it and forget it.” It’s something you build over time. You implement it, refine it, and expand it as your business—and your goals—shift.
What makes a brand feel real isn’t just the logo. It’s seeing it in action—on a site, on a sign, in a portfolio, or a proposal. It’s how consistently it shows up and supports your vision.
This project took a while to share publicly. But honestly, that’s part of the process. Good brands evolve—just like the people behind them.
Here’s an article about why most architecture websites don’t work, and what you can do to fix them.
