New Branding Project Kickoff — Designing Alongside Architecture
Behind the Scenes: A New Branding Project Begins
We just kicked off a new branding project I’m really excited about—this one came through a friend from architecture school (thanks Sam!). They’re working on a building renovation for a client, and it’s a perfect moment to rethink how the brand shows up.
New space, new brand.
We just got the completed brand questionnaire back, and I’ve been diving in—sorting through ideas, identifying key themes, and translating it all into something clear and actionable. This early phase is all about clarity:
What makes them different?
Who are they trying to connect with?
How should the brand feel?
This step lays the groundwork for everything that follows—from logo design and typography to website design and print materials.
What makes this one especially interesting is that the branding work is happening alongside an architectural redesign. That overlap makes the process even more meaningful—because when your space and your brand evolve together, you get something truly aligned and intentional.
I’ll share more as the project evolves. If you’ve ever wondered how branding starts, or what goes into the strategy phase, let me know—I’m happy to break it down.
